Headaches and Migraines

Headaches and Migraines can be very distressing and debilitating, preventing the ability to carry out normal daily activities. This can have an impact not only on you but your family and friends.

Recent and ongoing research has shown that problems and disorders stemming from the upper part of your neck (cervical spine) can have the potential to cause or exacerbate migraines and headaches.

If you are experiencing headaches for the first time "out of the blue" then you are advised to consult your GP first. If however, you have experienced headaches for many years, then an in-depth assessment of your neck will enable me to evaluate the effectiveness of my treatment techniques.

Some headaches are triggered by stress, food sensitivity, hormonal fluctuations or light sensitivity and by using these techniques I can desensitise the response to these triggers and hopefully reduce the frequency and severity of the headaches or migraines.

An internationally renowned Australian Physiotherapist, Dean Watson, with a growing reputation worldwide is an expert in the assessment and treatment of headaches and migraines and has been working successfully in this field for many years, has devised the techniques I use.

Jaw pain, clicking and pain on chewing, and difficulty opening your mouth fully, can also be treated with physiotherapy and is often linked with headaches. I have done a specialised course in this field alongside dentists. (Please consult your dentist first)
